Mr. AJROUDI’s career is far from being limited exclusively to business. On the contrary, as a committed man and philanthropist, he advocates many strong commitments, whether political or media, without forgetting the fight he has been waging for several years in favor of peace and tolerance. Here are the main causes he defends and the different charitable actions he supports in recent years.

Political commitments

A fight for the rights of the Tunisian people

Particularly attached to his homeland, Mohamed Ayachi AJROUDI has always been involved in Tunisian politics, for example firmly opposing the economic and social decisions of the government of Ali Larayedh. This is why he decided to found, in 2013, his own party called The Movement of the Tunisian for Freedom and Dignity. With this new force, he intends to serve first and foremost the real interests of the people of his country, and not those of the leaders. At the same time, he formed a strategic alliance with the politician Kamel MORJANE, Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs. But to everyone’s surprise, almost ten months after the launch of his own political party, he withdrew from the race before the holding of legislative elections in Tunisia. He will then say that there is still ” a soldier from his country ” but that ” his ambition is social, economic and energy, that his motivations […] are not at all mercantilist “.

Environmental commitments

In favor of environmental protection

Very sensitive to this constant struggle, Mohamed Ayachi AJROUDI has been an important member of the Defense for Quality of Life Foundation since the late 1980s . He actively fights against the advancement of the desert in Africa and the Middle East. Particularly involved and eager to get things done with regard to the preservation of the environment, in 2010 he entered into a partnership with the National Sanitation Office (ONAS). This establishment fights against water pollution or in favor of the recovery of treated water. At the end of the 1980s, he invested in the non-governmental association R20 and became a very active member. This one, founded by the actor and the politician, universally recognized, Arnold SCHWARZENEGGER. Its main objective is to fight global warming. In addition, the aim of Mr. AJROUDI is above all to raise awerness among the international community on the very worrying situation of his city of birth, Gabès, victim of chemical pollution for many years. Recently, in 2015, he participated in COP 21, in the company of major decision-makers, as part of the signing of the Paris Agreements .

Peace Commitments

The fight against terrorism and peace between religions

Mohamed Ayachi AJROUDI works actively in favor of the appeasement of religious tensions in Tunisia. Its television channel Al Janoubiya TV , acquired in 2013, broadcasts messages of peace and tolerance. It fights against all forms of terrorism and against political Islam, its journalists being on the ground in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates or even in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2017, as part of the largest media event in the Arab countries, in the presence of Ministers of Communication, ambassadors and stars of art and media, the channel was awarded the prize for excellence, creativity and professionalism in handling events during the sparkling ceremony in Tunis.

The same year, Mr. AJROUDI takes part in the organization and the financing of the March against Terrorism where he is encouraged by the French president Emmanuel MACRON and his wife. This march brings together all the religious leaders of European cities affected by the attacks in recent years, such as Paris, Nice, Berlin, Brussels … This event also aims to bring together the different religions by recalling that the values of Islam are at opposite of religious fundamentalism, imbued with peace and tolerance. Values that have always been defended by Mr. AJROUDI. In 2018, he appealed strongly to Jews around the world by inviting them to come and make a pilgrimage to the ancient synagogue of Djerba, bringing together more than 2,500 years of history. Powerful symbol, thanks to this involvement in the organization, the event was a real success.

Since 2011, Mohamed Ayachi AJROUDI , through numerous humanitarian actions, has campaigned for peace in Libya and the assistance of Libyan families who have taken refuge in Tunisia (accommodation, food, school, etc.). He organized numerous meetings and negotiations with the various chiefs of Libyan tribes to restore dialogue between them, until he succeeded in reuniting them. This success was congratulated and rewarded with official recognition, following the creation of the foundation of tribal leaders of Libyan cities and towns, including the President and Mr. Ageli Adussalam BRENI (former governor of the Libyan central bank). By the same organization, he was appointed official representative of the Libyan people to work on peace negotiations for Libya. He began his task by meeting various Presidents of the AFRICAN UNION. Initiator of the meeting between President ALFA CONDE and President AGELI BRENI , the latter was able to directly express his desire to see the AU invest in this peace movement. President SASSOU NEGUESSO in Congo has been appointed to lead this work. He therefore organized several meetings between the tribal leaders and the President in BRAZZAVILLE. Mohamed Ayachi AJROUDI has also brought personalities from the United States to Tunisia to meet President BRENI. He also met with senior officials from the European committee and the French government. On November 6, 2019, during a trip to Benghazi, as part of the MILITARY INVESTMENT AUTHORITY GENERAL COMMAND OF THE LIBYAN ARABE ARMED FORCES , a protocol was signed in order to broaden the base and develop the needs of Libya, in all the necessary areas.

Commitments for development

Development of Saudi and Tunisian infrastructures

Mr. AJROUDI actively participates in the development of many projects in Tunisia, but also in Saudi Arabia, his host country since his installation in the early 80s. Among these major projects, we can speak :

– the development of agriculture in Saudi Arabia, through its invention PORTUBE II
– the sanitation of the water distribution network through several cities in the country
– the development of a rail network connecting the cities of Mecca , Jeddah or Medina
– the renovation of the Jara mosque

New project in the mind of our philanthropist, the opening of a seawater desalination station in the Sultanate of Oman. Through this initiative, the waste would be transformed into energy supplying the structures of the station.
